Message from our President

Hello members!

Another year is coming to an end, and the weather is getting bad again – a combination  those of us in cable dread. This means, depending on your job, tying up loose ends, closing out the year's billing, running out of budgeted funds and trying to make them last, working in the freezing cold, and/or trying to keep your vehicles out of the ditches and repair shop.

It used to mean to the Chapter's board that it was time for the annual Vendor Show and Cable-Tec Games. It was always tough for us to put on a good show, since the weather never cooperated enough for our members to get to the show and participate in the games. Our vendors also either arrived late or had to leave early for the same reason.

So, this year the board decided to not only change the date from where it's been since it's inception, but to also change the venue, and if that weren't enough, to add a golf outing! We found a great new home for the show at the Beni Kedem Shrine Center – convenient downtown location, plenty of bucket truck parking, and all the room we needed for the show and games. The nice weather made for a successful show, games and golf outing. So mark your calendars for the 1st Wednesday in October for the show and games, and the Tuesday before for the golf outing.

Thanks so much to all of you that helped make our show, games, and golf outing a success in its new time and place.

Happy Holidays to all of you, and I hope to see you soon at one of our events! Stay warm!
